How to choose the right service

If you are not sure which car detail package fits, start with what the vehicle needs rather than what it costs. A car that is simply dusty between cleanings needs a maintenance wash. A car that feels gritty after washing, looks dull in sunlight, or has an interior that never quite comes clean needs a full detail, because those are signs of bonded contamination, clear-coat haze, and embedded grime a wash cannot touch.

Once the paint is genuinely clean, protection is the next decision. Paint correction is the step that removes swirl marks, oxidation, and water spots, and it has to happen before any coating, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it. Ceramic coating then seals that corrected finish with multi-year UV, chemical, and hydrophobic protection. Applying a coating over uncorrected paint is the most common mistake in this trade, and it is one Bridges will not make.

Interior, exterior, or both

Most callers already know which half of the vehicle is bothering them, and that instinct is usually right. If the cabin is the complaint — a lingering smell, crumbs in the seat rails, a film on the inside of the windshield that smears instead of wiping clean — interior detailing solves it without paying for exterior work the paint does not need yet. If the paint is the complaint — dull in direct sun, rough under your palm, spotted where sprinkler water dried — exterior detailing is the right entry point. When both have slipped at once, which is normal for a vehicle that has not been professionally detailed in a year or more, the full detail exists for exactly that: one visit, one quote, both sides reset together.

A few symptoms point to a specific service rather than a package. Headlights gone yellow or cloudy are a lens problem, not a paint problem, and headlight restoration addresses them directly. Swirl marks that light up under parking-lot lamps at night live in the clear coat itself, which is paint correction territory. And if water stopped beading on the hood months ago, the old wax or sealant has worn away — the vehicle is asking for protection, not just another cleaning.

Condition matters as much as category. Light surface dust and fresh crumbs are maintenance-level work at maintenance-level prices; a year of embedded grime, sap spots, and sun-baked spills is restoration work, and quoting it as a quick wash would shortchange the result. Be candid about condition on the phone — that is how we arrive with the right products loaded and the right amount of time blocked out, and it is why the written quote holds instead of growing halfway through the job.

Trucks, SUVs, and anything oversized

Surface area drives effort in this trade. A crew-cab pickup or a three-row SUV is a genuinely different job than a sedan — more glass, more panel, more carpet — which is why trucks carry their own dedicated service and why a quote for a lifted or long-bed truck reflects actual square footage rather than a sedan price with a vague upcharge. A one-time reset or a recurring plan

If the vehicle is behind, book the one-time service first. Recurring plans maintain a finish; they do not rescue one, and putting a neglected daily driver on a monthly wash plan only preserves the grime at a discount. Once the vehicle is genuinely caught up, the plans earn their keep: Monthly Maintenance suits a garage-kept car with moderate miles, Bi-Weekly Express fits daily drivers that live outdoors or commute through construction dust, and Quarterly Full Detail is the seasonal-reset option for owners who would rather put the deep work on a calendar than a guess. All three carry priority scheduling and a locked-in rate, which matters more than the percentage off once spring pollen season fills the booking calendar.

How long to plan for

Time on-site scales with scope. A maintenance hand wash runs about an hour. A full detail takes several hours depending on vehicle size and condition. Paint correction and ceramic coating are the long-format jobs — correction is measured in hours per stage, and a coating cures into a multi-day appointment. None of it requires you to stand in the driveway watching. We bring our own water and power, so the practical requirements are a legal place to park, working room around the vehicle, and access to the cabin if interior work is on the ticket. Book it for a workday at the office or a Saturday at home; the job runs the same either way, and payment is due only when the final walk-around is done and you have seen the result.

Pricing, honestly

The prices on this page are starting figures. The final quote reflects vehicle size, condition, and the level of correction required; it is written down and agreed before any work begins, then never changed mid-job. A compact commuter and a lifted three-quarter-ton truck take very different amounts of product and time, so a fair price is vehicle-specific rather than a flat menu number.

Drive a lot of miles? Daily drivers usually do best on a recurring maintenance plan, which locks in priority scheduling and a lower rate.
